A track-and-trace system is a technology that allows you to optimise and track the location and status of objects, such as vehicles, tools or employees, in real-time. The system uses GPS or other tracking technologies to collect data and transmit it to a central application or platform, where you can view and manage this information. This gives you insight into where your objects are, their route, any anomalies and trouble alerts.

By using vehicle telematics and data analysis, you can make drivers aware of their driving behavior (e.g. speeding, fast acceleration, hard braking) and inform them about unnecessary idling, to reduce fuel consumption.

Until today, there is no legislative framework on the use of Track & Trace systems in Belgium. However, employers must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here, it is important that consultation with employees takes place and that the employer has a legitimate interest in using a Track & Trace system. If the vehicle is also used by the employee outside working hours, the privacy button can be switched on.

Suivo IoT platform provides a live-tracking view on all assets. It will show the last known location.

  • Real time data on very short interval updates of 3 seconds is available and very useful for all dispatch persons in emergency services such as police and fire brigades.
  •  A data update interval of 10 seconds or less is sufficient for dispatching transport and field interventions. This interval is configurable to meet the dispatcher’s specific needs.
  • Assets without autonomous live tracker will be shown on their last provided position or updated intermediate by our eco-system of gateways.
  • ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, KPD Construction Software, AFAS Software, SAP, ICORDA and 3P.
  • HR tools and social secretariats such as SD Worx, Acerta, Partena, Attentia, AFAS Software and ProTime.
  • Inspection authorities such as Vinçotte, ACEG and bTv​​.
  • Operation systems such as Schwing Stetter, Sauter GmbH and Command Alkon.

An example of this is the Water Group, which, thanks to Suivo’s trackers, quickly recovered a missing measuring device on the roadside.

In addition, marking geographical areas at worksites can provide valuable benefits. Geofencing, which uses GPS technology, allows you to define a specific area.
